My Organic Message

An organic lifestyle is a very important part of looking after my family. I believe that eating organically and finding products containing less manmade chemicals is important for our health and the environment.

Did you know that the worst vegetables for pesticide residues are tomatoes, parsnips, cucumber, lettuce, beans in a pod, peas in a pod, sweet potatoes, courgettes, marrows and yams? The least sprayed vegetables include leeks, onions and potatoes. If you would like to know more and find out which products you may want to consider buying organically visit The Pesticide Action Network UK If you want to become better informed about organic food then the Soil Association is a good source of information. They have interesting events and when you become a member you receive their magazine.

There are lots of alternatives for cleaning your house using less chemicals. Washing up dishes and washing clothes can also be done with products that are kinder to your skin and the environment. The Ethical Superstore is one of the places I find my products. If you are also concerned about the ethics behind the companies you buy products from, you may also like the Ethical Consumer website.

Do you want to know what is in your skincare and body products? As a NYR Organic team leader I adore Neal's Yard products but there are other alternatives too. Find out what is in your personal products at The Cosmetics Database and you can look for more natural, safer ones.
